Karvepaku Podi ( Curry leaves powder )


Ingredients :
Danyalu 1 cup
Senaga pappu ½ cup
Mina pappu ½ cup
Red chill 10 no.
Dry Curry leaves 3 cups ( karvepaku )
Jeelakara 1 spoon
Hingu ½ spoon
Tamarind lemon size ball.
Pasupu pinch
Salt to taste

Method :
Take a pan and fry the tamarind and keep it aside.
Add all the other ingredients leaving pasupu and salt and fry well for 10 minutes.
Grind all the fried ingredients adding salt and pasupu to a fine powder.
Serve with hot rice.

Idli Podi ( idli powder )


Ingredients :
Chutney pappu 2 cups
Chilli powder 1 tbsp
Garlic 10 pods
Pinch of pasupu
Salt to taste
Dry coconut scrape 2 cups
Jeelakara 2 tbsp

Method :
Fry all the ingredients for few minutes just to make it warm.
Then grind it in to fine powder.
This powder can be served with dosa and idli with little oil.

Menti Gunda ( Curry Powder )


Ingredients :
Mina pappu 1 cup
Senaga pappu ½ cup
Mentulu 2 table spoon
Red chilli 8 no.
Hingu ½ spoon

Method :
Fry all the ingredients in the pan without oil.
Grind to coarse powder in the mixie.
This powder can be used to sprinkle on the fried vegetables.

Jeela Kara Karam ( Cumin Powder )


Ingredients :
Senaga pappu 2 cup
Jeelakara 2 table spoon
Red chilli 8 no.
Hingu ½ spoon

Method :
Fry all the ingredients in the pan without oil.
Grind to coarse powder in the mixie.
This powder can be used to sprinkle on the fried vegetables.
It goes well with brinjal fry and potato

Pulusu Podi ( Pulusu Powder )


Ingredients :
Danyalu 1 cup
Mentulu 1 table spoon
Red chilli 5 no.
Jeelakara 1 spoon
Miryalu ½ spoon
Avalu 1 spoon
Senaga pappu 1 table spoon

Method :
Fry all the ingredients in the pan without oil.
Grind to coarse powder in the mixie.
This powder can be used to while making mukalu pulusu.

Sambar Podi ( sambar powder )


Ingredients :
Danyalu 1 cup
Red chilli 1 cup
Mentulu ½ cup
Jeera 1 tbsp
Kandipappu 1 tbsp
Mina apappu 1 tbsp
Senaga pappu 1 tbsp
Hingu ½ spoon
Dry coconut scrape 1cup

Method :

Fry all the ingredients in the pan without oil.
Grind to fine powder in the mixie.
This powder can be used to make sambar.

Charu Podi ( Rasam Powder )


Ingredients :
Danyalu 100gm
Red chilli 8 no.
Mentulu 1 sp
Miryalu 1 tbsp
Jeelakara 1 tbsp
Senaga pappu ½ cup

Method :
Fry all the ingredients in the pan without oil.
Grind to coarse powder in the mixie.
This powder can be used to make charu.

Nuvulu Podi ( seasame powder )


Ingredients :
Nuvulu ( seasame seeds ) 1 cup
Red chilli 6 no.
Hingu ½ spoon
Salt to taste
Method :
Fry all the ingredients in the pan without oil.
Grind to coarse powder in the mixie.
This powder can be served with hot rice.

Kandi Podi (Gun Powder )


Ingredients :
Kandi pappu ( red gram ) 2 cups
Red chilli 12 no.
Jeelakara 2 tbsp
Hingu 1 spoon
Salt to taste

Method :

Fry all the ingredients in the pan without oil.
Grind to coarse powder in the mixie.
This powder can be served with hot rice.
